About Peter

Peter B. Lewis

Even as a boy, listening to radio broadcasts painted pictures in Peter’s imagination.

As an ambitious teenager in the early ‘60’s, when the Beach Boys began to surf the airwaves, “Peter B” worked as a DJ on Top-40 radio stations up and down the California coast.

As his ear for audio matured, he headed east, and quickly found fame in Manhattan. Peter recorded some of the decade’s most memorable jingles for Pepsi, Burger King and Budweiser. He produced sessions at many of NYC’s most renowned recording studios including Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios, National Recording and famed Gotham Studios.

In 1975, Seattle called;

along with the lure of starting his own company devoted exclusively to audacious audio.

1975AUDISEE

Soon after opening AUDISEE,

Peter B. Lewis Peter became the Northwest’s go-to sound guy for radio and television commercials, amassing a treasure chest of industry awards. Including gold One Show, Andy and Clio statuettes, along with the International Broadcasting Association’s coveted World’s Best Radio Commercial.

Yet, Peter was just tuning up.

In 1991, Nike asked AUDISEE to help create Niketown, the nation’s first retail store incorporating a designed audio environment.

Peter pioneered the use of theme-specific and multi-zonal audio. He created some of the first surround-sound environments for large spaces. He was an early experimenter with binaural sound. And he opened clients’ ears to the untapped power of influencing customers’ activities by controlling their sonic experience.

Over the past three decades, Peter and his team at AUDISEE have designed the audio environments for some of the world’s most respected brands, at some of the world’s most visible venues.

Whether you attended the Beijing Olympics or the New York Auto Show, toured the World Expo in Shanghai or fought the throngs at E3, Peter’s years of experience were in your ears.
